Alex Lowe is a Mastering Engineer with over 20 years of music industry experience.  As owner of Red Tuxedo Mastering he has put the finishing touches on projects from nearly every genre of music.  His work can be heard on Grammy nominated recordings by Gungor ("Ghosts Upon The Earth" and "Beautiful Things") and Earl Klugh ("Naked Guitar") .

Before starting Red Tuxedo in 2002 Alex worked with many notable musicians, engineers and producers including Brendan O'Brien, Ricky Keller, Paul McCandless, Derek Trucks, Jimmy Herring, Kofi Burbridge, Outkast, Nine Inch Nails, Curtis Mayfield, TLC and Aretha Franklin.

Alex holds a degree in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee College of Music (1992).  He's engineered for many of the top studios in Atlanta including Doppler Studios, ZAC, Tree Sound, D.A.R.P, Silent Sound, La Coco and Southern Living At Its Finest.

Since its inception in 2003 after the closing of Southern Living at its Finest, Red Tuxedo has amassed an impressive list of local and national clients.  Adapting to industry trends Alex has expanded Red Tuxedo beyond mastering to include pre-recordist and music playback services for television and film.  These days you can also find Alex working on many of the movie productions around Atlanta.  He was recently nominated for an Oscar as part of the production sound crew for the Sony Pictures movie "Baby Driver" in 2017 and then "First Man" in 2018.  During his free time he enjoys playing the saxophone and the subtle art of charcoal grilling.

After writing, recording and playing countless gigs as a guitarist throughout the 90s and early 00s, earning a degree in Communications from Suffolk University in Boston and forging a successful IT career with the likes of General Electric and Sun Microsystems, Rich shifted his focus to the craft of audio engineering.

Since joining Red Tuxedo in 2010 Rich has mastered projects for eOne, Atlantic Records, Relapse Records, Capitol Records, Sony Music, Fool's Gold Records, InVogue Records, Universal Music Group and engineered for organizations such as NARIP, Emory Hospital, The High Museum of Art and The Smithsonian Institution.  He's also taught Mastering and Multimedia classes at SAE Institute in Atlanta.

Born into a musical family, Rich has been around music all of his life.  When he's not mastering he's writing, recording and producing music for clients and friends. He's recently mixed audio for several independent films and continues work on his own collection of eclectic music.  In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and watching MLB and NFL games with family and friends.
